Boarding
Middleton Place Equestrian Center is Charleston's premier boarding and training facility. Our boarding barns feature 46 spacious and well ventilated 12' by 12' stalls, wood shavings, individual fans, and thick stall mats.
Boarding includes feeding high quality grain and timothy/orchard hay 2-3 times per day based on each horse's individual dietary needs, owner-supplied medications and/or supplements, nightly turnout in one of our numerous large grass paddocks, stall maintenance, and seasonal blanketing. Staff members can schedule vet and farrier services as needed and perform deworming and vaccinations.
Training amenities include a large cross country training area , a lighted jump ring with a special sand and clay mixture, and two regulation dressage arenas with stone dust footing. Three outdoor and 1 heated, covered wash rack are also provided as well as tack rooms and space for tack lockers.
Riders also have access to the Middleton Oaks home owners association carriage trails including the trails around the south rice pond of Middleton Place plantation. For a small additional yearly fee, riders can also access the 5,500 acres of equestrian trails adjacent to the Equestrian Center which is the home territory of the Middleton Place Hounds and features fantastic sand footing and over 100 jumps in the 2'3" to 3'3" height. We have onsite trainers in both dressage and jumping disciplines and also bring in outside professionals for clinics throughout the year. Please note, we are currently full with a waitlist.
